One of my sisters got infected with H1N1 or more commonly known as Swine Flu. Fortunately, she did not have very high fever and she was able to recover fast .

Despite working in public health, I'm a little iffy myself if I should let Connor get the H1N1 shot. However, his pediatrician highly recommended since she saw 2 of her patients get hospitalized from the flu. I'm starting to think too that the H1N1 vaccines made this time around went through a little bit more rigorous process than the ones made in the 70s. So far there hasn't been bad reports of kids who got the vaccines. Most likely, I will let him get the shot.

We had the H1N1 bug here a few weeks ago. While it certainly didn't kill us, it did slow us down for awhile. Plus, the little one had the lingering aftereffects of an ear and sinus infection. I don't know if I would have vaccinated any of us, but I am glad to have it all over and done with!
